The postcard arrived with no stamp, no return address, and a photograph of her apartment from the inside—taken from the hallway, at an angle she knew was impossible. The words on the back were written in her own handwriting, describing a day that hadn’t happened yet. By the time she noticed the date on the photo, the hallway mirror reflected someone standing behind her, holding the same card.
